AWA, support to the cultural and creative sectors.

In response to the demand for support to the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) sector in West Africa, the ACP-EU Culture Programme: Support to the Cultural and Creative Sectors in West Africa – AWA has thought out and developed a mechanism that allows above all:

  • the emergence of talent
  • the creation of acceptable jobs
  • the emergence of true cultural industries
  • the production of quality works for distribution on national and international markets

This mechanism is expressed through the establishment of new partnerships and innovative cultural funds.

Following calls for proposals and assessment of applications, the
ACP-EU Culture Programme: Support to the cultural and creative sectors in West Africa – AWA
will award two types of funds to the beneficiaries (one for structuring, the other for promotion) and will deploy a significant support mechanism for project leaders to ensure the success of their initiatives.

AWA, a project with a social dimension

In addition to these economic issues, the ACP-EU Culture Programme: Support to the cultural and creative sectors in West Africa – AWA intends to stimulate young people in the appropriation of their own history, identity, realities and potential, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
