The Association KILE in Mali aims to promote training and creation in the fields of cinema, audiovisual and digital by encouraging the emergence of young talents and innovative creations. The Association KILE hopes to become a centre of training and artistic excellence in digital art in Bamako.
The “CINE SAHEL” project aims to bring together young filmmakers from the Sahel countries for a training and film screening programme. The films will be shown in public spaces in northern Mali, followed by debates, and a digital platform will be created to enable the Sahel countries to view them on social media.

“If you can’t go to the cinema, the cinema will come to you” – this is the raison d’être of the ATCNA (Association Togolaise du Cinéma Numérique Ambulant or Togolese Association of Travelling Digital Cinema). This association was founded in 2013 with a triple objective: to provide training in cinema professions to Togolese people living far from the capital, to produce awareness-raising films and to give the most isolated populations access to film screenings.

The project enables 20 Togolese participants, selected mainly from regions without access to quality training in cinema professions, to take part in a workshop to create short films lasting 15 to 30 minutes. These films will then be taken on a national tour of 30 screenings organised in the country’s most isolated rural areas, as well as in schools. At the end of the tour, they will also be broadcast on local Togolese television channels in order to reach a wider audience.

The association Africadoc Côte d'Ivoire, founded in 2012, aims to showcase creative documentary film in Côte d’ivoire. To this end, it organises activities tailored to the needs of professionals (workshops, gatherings, masterclasses) and screens documentary films in primary schools, high schools and universities to raise the profile of African documentary cinema.
The project Impala Afrique de l’Ouest seeks to boost the competitiveness of the documentary cinema sector by supporting creation and production, as well as facilitating access to markets. It includes writing and production workshops for 10 young authors and 10 young producers, led by experienced tutors.

Cinéma du fleuve

The GSCD's ambition is the operational implementation of development projects through culture in rural Africa. It is committed to the preservation of artistic heritage, the reinterpretation of mythologies, dialogue between cultures and friendship between peoples. Its members are artists and professionals from the world of culture and development.

In order to educate the younger generation about the moving image, to allow local populations to see films in favourable conditions, but also to create social links and spaces for reflection while supporting African cinema, the "Cinéma du Fleuve" project proposes to bring cinema to rural areas. The construction of an open-air cinema and an educational room in Mboumba will allow the screening of African cinematographic works as well as international heritage films.

Tigritudes Itinérances

Les Films du Djabadjah is an independent production and distribution company created by filmmaker Berni Goldblat in 2006. It is also involved in executive production, in the organisation of film writing residencies, in circulation and programming, and works for a better visibility of African cinema on the continent.

Initially conceived as part of the Africa2020 Cultural Season, then presented in early 2022 at the Forum des Images in Paris, "Tigritudes" is a film cycle of 119 pan-African and Afro-diasporic films, produced between 1956 and 2021. The project in question aims to organise a touring programme, in Burkina Faso in the first instance.
By revealing an accessible and eclectic cinema, "Tigritudes Itinérance" works to deconstruct a reductive and restrictive vision of African cinema.

OUAGA FILM LAB

In the wake of its creation in 2016, the Génération Créative collective launched its training and moving image education activities, and above all the first edition of OUAGA FILM LAB, the first laboratory for the development and co-production of film projects in sub-Saharan Africa.

OUAGA FILM LAB promotes meetings between experts and talents from the African continent and their networking with professional platforms from the rest of the world. It is a major film incubator in Africa, based on skills training for producers and directors in order to strengthen their artistic and technical knowledge and facilitate their access to national and international funding. At the end of the LAB, numerous writing residency grants in both Africa and Europe will be awarded to the best projects.

Institut Mousso

Founded in 2006 in Senegal, Karoninka is a renowned film production and directing company committed to the empowerment of women. Its recognition extends beyond the borders of Senegal, both in Africa and in Europe.

The aim of Institut Mousso ("woman" in Bambara) is to promote education for all and to develop female leadership in rural areas. It is within this framework that training sessions in photography techniques and audiovisual production will be organised in the most isolated areas, in order to encourage the socio-professional integration of women. In the long term, the aim is to give young women the opportunity to discover sectors of activity other than agriculture.

Cinexale

The Yennenga Centre is the first cultural centre dedicated to cinema in Senegal. A true incubator, it offers training, support for the creation and distribution of films and audiovisual material. It aims to promote local cinema, accessible to all, and to introduce the younger generation to the impact of the image on society.

In 2019, the Yennenga centre launched "Cinexale" to develop a culture of cinema and the image among a young audience. During the first year, 25 children were able to participate in a creative programme, at the end of which 3 short films were made. The Yennenga Centre has been awarded a development fund in order to continue this initiative, to enable more children to benefit from it and to launch a film club specifically for 6-12 year olds.
