The association Clinik’Art aims to use its resources to help promote culture and art with a view to the social, economic and personal development of people in Togo and Africa more widely.
The project Théâtre Chez Vous (Theatre at Home - TCV) was created to enable artists to continue working through the COVID period while reducing the risks of spreading the virus. The aim of this edition is to broadcast five shows in the five regions of Togo, with at least 15 broadcasts per region. The project also aims to strengthen the capacities of theatre companies in each region and create a national network to make theatre and the arts accessible to people from all levels of society.

La Fabrik is a project that aims to sponsor different art forms and professionalise the arts sector, particularly stage arts, by supporting creation, production and dissemination. The goal is to integrate artistic practices, particularly theatre, into daily life to make them accessible to everyone, to showcase heritage and to encourage emancipation and fulfilment.
The “Fabrique de fictions” (Fiction Factory) seeks to combine theatre with urban heritage in the suburbs of Lomé. The project also aims to decentralise cultural activity by holding writing workshops and arts events and showing theatre performances in the suburbs to make art more accessible and reach isolated audiences.

Renaissance

FENATH-CI's objectives are to promote theatre and related disciplines, to federate the actions of the companies (members) to encourage artistic creation and the circulation of shows. It also trains and informs stakeholders in the sector in order to reinforce their knowledge during training courses, study trips, workshops, seminars, festivals...

As its name indicates, this project aims for the "Renaissance" of Ivorian Theatre through quality training (in writing, directing and administration) of cultural operators. The objective of the action is to give the various stakeholders the tools for their autonomy: economic development, spirit of initiative, assurance of the circulation of works in an active professional network, visibility on the physical and digital economic markets.

Immersion au bord du lac Nokoué, les artistes chez vous

The Place O Sceno Association, specialised in the performing arts, offers a framework for training in the theatre professions in Benin. It brings together about fifteen Beninese artists with diverse skills: stage designers, actors, puppeteers, designers, costume designers, sound and light directors, administrators, etc.

This project to create a theatre and puppet show on the themes of education for all and the involvement of the population in the rational management of the resources of Lake Nokoué will be broadcast in 30 lakeside locations and on the web. It will help to bring cultural activities to the most remote localities. In order to carry out this initiative and to compensate for the lack of infrastructure, a travelling floating stage will be created.

ISIS ou la tragédie des corps dispersés

The CTDC's mission is to promote and defend cultural diversity through an organisational ecosystem of national operators and stakeholders in the arts and culture. Within the framework of this mission, the ISIS project resembles an international research laboratory on a new form of theatre that will later be called "Théâtre du souffle".

The objective of ISIS is to gather anthropological material linked to traditions and cults of possession and then to submit it to a scriptwriting process (in the form of tales, puppets, masks, etc.) in order to create an aesthetic of breath that animates the bodies and voices of the actors and pushes them into all the twists and turns of their performance. This research will result in a contemporary theatre show, on the route to a future theatrical aesthetic capable of inspiring the rest of the world.

Festival International de Théâtre de l'Afrique de l'Ouest - FITAO Casamance en Scène

Through its animation and awareness-raising activities in Africa, the association participates in citizen development. Since 2007, it has organised the annual international West African theatre festival "Casamance en scène", which has become a platform for training and artistic and cultural promotion.

The cancellation of the 2020 edition due to Coronavirus, followed by the introduction of a curfew, turned the organisation and running of the festival upside down. Instead of being held over a week, in 2021, the highlights were spread over several months, and the performances went beyond the walls of the Alliance Française to take over the courtyards of the houses in the Yamatogne neighbourhood. Today, the project intends to perpetuate this new formula, which has proved to be more effective in terms of promotion and distribution among the population.

"Ateliers inventifs" - performance phase

The Min'Art association was founded in 2017 under the impulse of young artists eager for new forms of creation more in line with societal changes. Today, it is expanding its actions to include intervention and cultural mediation projects, as well as training and introducing young people to theatre and dance.

This project follows on from the programme of workshops in favour of young people that the Min'Art association has been developing in the districts of Conakry for two years. Within this framework, 3 distribution centres will be set up in 3 neighbourhoods that do not usually receive any cultural offerings, but which will host contemporary live performances for one year. This project is the first phase of a distribution programme that will be extended to other areas of the city in the following years.

"Agir ensemble pour grandir"

The Atelier Nomade houses the École Internationale de Théâtre du Bénin as well as several performance spaces, regular venues for Beninese, Togolese, Burkinabe and Nigerian artists. In addition to the establishment of a permanent, multi-purpose troupe of some twenty talents (directors, actors, dancers, puppeteers, circus artists, etc.), the consolidation and expansion project "Agir ensemble pour grandir " includes the creation of a museum of the performing arts. By working on the synergy between 9 sub-regional theatres (6 in Benin, 1 in Togo, 1 in Niger and 1 in Burkina Faso) and the networking of their cultural content, the project intends to take advantage of the income and move towards financial autonomy, a key objective for true anchoring and sustainability.

The theatre school often works on themes that contribute to human development and good citizenship.

"La NEUF", training, creation and production

The Malian cultural industry offers a plethora of stakeholders but is cruelly lacking in scriptwriters, costume designers and other entertainment professionals without whom works cannot exist. In response to this shortage, "La NEUF" (Nouvelle École Usine et de Formation) offers a system of training, both face-to-face and at a distance, including workshops, masterclasses and internships for dialogue with professionals. This proposal for training in the performing arts will ultimately lead to the creation of new shows to be presented during a tour of 8 cities, already established by the association. Acte SEPT also intends to involve communities in order to establish a sustainable and culturally endogenous funding mechanism, a factor in sustainable development.

A look at planned productions
- Creation of a digital platform for training
- Establishment of 16 workshops on the performing arts professions

- Creation of 8 plays

- Distribution of the 8 plays in the 8 cities of the Sirabo network
- Creation of a partner network

- Organisation of a festival

Focus on Acte SEPT
According to Acte SEPT, the project leader, "everyone must be able to participate in the cultural life of their choice and exercise their own cultural practices within the limits imposed by respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. " Driven by this vision, the association has been working in Bamako since 1994 and has been moving to the rhythm of its Festival du Théâtre des Réalités since 1996.

« Consolidation de l'industrie Théâtrale en Afrique de l’Ouest » (CITAO)

The ICAO initiative aims to consolidate the existing collaboration between the Espace Culturel Gambidi (ECG) and its national and international partners. It is also a question of reinforcing previously established cultural actions such as the "Route des Arts" or the famous International Theatre and Puppet Festival of Ouagadougou (FITMO) now held in 6 West African countries. With the help of marketing plans and digital tools, ICAO seeks to involve young people more, encourage a wider distribution of works and generate more revenue that will allow it to perpetuate its theatrical activity.

Overview of expected productions

- training of 60 cultural operators
- creation of a web platform dedicated to the communication and marketing of content from the West African theatre sector
- production of a video documentary on the capitalisation and sharing of the project's experiences and good practices

Focus on Espace Culturel Gambidi

Born from the determination of the artists of the Théâtre de la Fraternité (a famous troupe in Burkina Faso) to have a headquarters that would be both a space for rehearsal and creation, the Espace Culturel Gambidi brings together a number of organisations including: The Centre de Formation et de Recherche en Arts Vivants (CFRAV), the Atelier International des Arts Plastiques (AIAP), the first exclusively cultural private radio station in Burkina Faso, a Media Library, a 500-seat theatre and a guest house.
